This makes sure it won’t be left in the cold and you can stable it just in case you lose this one. Make sure to whistle on your way out of the area so that your previous horse follows you. Now you can bond with it and customize its kit to make it even faster. All you have to do now is go to your current horse, remove its saddle by holding Right on the D-Pad and place it on your new steed. Congratulations, you now own the best horse in the game. Basically, resist like you would when you’re trying to catch a fish, but keep hammering Square/X to calm it as you do this.Įventually, the bar in the bottom right will hit rock bottom and you’ll have broken in the White Arabian. What you want to do is hold the left analogue stick in the opposite direction to which the White Arabian is attempting to pull you. The most interesting are the Elite horses and you can find them in the Blackwater stable once you unblock this zone in the epilogue. The horse will naturally start bucking and attempt to throw you off. When this happens, do this a couple of times and then press Triangle/Y to mount the horse. Keep doing this and edging closer until you’re within range to pet the White Arabian. JackJackAttack22 Arthur Morgan White Arabian is my favorite. You could try the Standardbred or Thoroughbred if you want speed. The Kentucky Saddler is a high speed, high. You can get the dark bay Andalusian at the strawberry stables at the beginning of the game. The American Standardbred, while being the fastest horse in the base game, has only average health and stamina. The Andalusian horses are even a little bigger than Appaloosas.
#RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 BEST HORSE HOW TO#
How to break in the White Arabian in Red Dead Redemption 2 Appaloosas are great horses and are about a good medium size. Basically, hammer Square/X to make sure the horse is ok with you approaching it.Įvery time you see the calm bar deplete (this will usually coincide with the horse making noise and moving erratically,) you want to stop dead in your tracks and keep calming it until everything returns to normal.

Now that you’re in focus, you’ll notice the calm bar in the bottom right corner, which you want to keep as full as possible. Once you find it, you want to slowly get in range of the White Arabian until you can hold L2/LT to focus on it. Once you’re ready, crouch and start moving towards the area, using Eagle Eye (元 + R3) when possible to spot heat signatures from afar. To my knowledge, you only get one shot, so you want to be very prepared before you attempt this. It’s easy to put a foot wrong and lose the horse, and it’s not guaranteed to return if you frighten it off. At this point, you should save your game manually to make sure you have an instance to return to if you mess up. I’d recommend you dismount a good distance away from the spot marked there so that your current, inferior horse doesn’t scare the White Arabian and make it bolt. Put on your best Winter Gear to mitigate the weather so you have enough stamina and health to tame it, and head to the western bank of Lake Isabella, as marked on the map above.

Its white coat masks the horse amidst snowstorms, making it particularly hard to spot.

If you look at these horses in the stable you can actually see how they are moving around all restless and antsy looking. The White Arabian is an elusive creature that hides out in the tundra of the West Grizzlies. Both are extremely skittish, the Arabian towards everything and my Turk darts half-way across the map if anyone fires a shot within 2 miles. The worst horses I have by far are actually the most expensive, the Black Arabian and Silver Turkoman. Not really afraid of anything, but it's clumsy, which is probably the best way a horse can be besides flawless, as long as you watch where you're going.

I do have the ♥♥♥♥♥ Cob, and it's very good. My role horses seem to have just 1 minor flaw each, slightly afraid of either predator or gunfire(not enough that patting doesn't cure it), or clumsy. I own most of the expensive horses though and in my experience the level 20 role horses are probably the best, Missouri Fox Trotter and some of the 18 gold ones are pretty good too. It + hooded stirrups give almost unlimited stamina without even patting the horse, it basically has its own extra stirrups built in stat-wise.īest horse is debatable, and possibly varies due to possible hidden stats like bravery and clumsiness. It is the only saddle that adds +1 speed/accel and also another stat no other saddle has, -30% stamina drain rate I think. The Nacogdoches saddle is the best, with no competition.
